Here is the big picture of backlink strategy. My competitor had 675 backlinks (at the moment) from 168 domains, that’s pretty cool. And over 50 percent are do follow. It means my competitor may be big (Yes, may be )

Now let’s take a look at where backlink came from. Click on Domains Referring. And you can see only five domain that had the most backlinks:

We cannot see more because of free member . However, at least I can see my competitor has two powerful backlinks which came from PR 5 site (root domain). And click on the plus button. You will see almost backlink are do follow. Well, I guess my competitor used guess post to get these backlinks (maybe he was using his own private blog networks).

 

Here is his anchor text strategy. He used keyword phrases not keyword only (that is the title of his post). I should copy his strategy.

After take a deep look at the biggest competitor, I know I still can beat him . Why, because his backlink came from PR2 post and I do have some blogs that had two or three PR4 post (PR 2 at root domain). Just copy him .

That’s power of doing backlink analysis.

However after reach the limit of analysis at Ahrefs, you should jump to MajesticSEO.

Limited results. Both Ahrefs and MajesticSEO show the first 5 results. Its fine with small blog, however it means nothing with big blog!
